Use Apache Struts with Adobe Flex
If you have legacy web applications built on Apache Struts in your setup and you are looking to migrate them over to leverage Flex for a much richer and interactive interface, then you will benefit from reading “Bridging the gap between Flex and Struts using FxStruts“, an article written by Anirudh Sasikumar, who also happens to be the creator of this wonderful bridging library (FxStruts).
FxStruts is a simple but effective library. It intercepts the requests to and response from Struts and makes Java objects output AMF or XML. The briding library exists both on the Flex and the Java web application side. In a Java web application, its available as a taglib, replacing <bean:write> and <bean:message> from the standard Apache Struts taglib set.
