IntelliJ IDEA, an alternative to Flex Builder
JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA 8 was released a few days back. In this recent addition the hugely popular and well respected IDE adds support for Adobe Flex development. So now you have an alternative to Flex Builder!
If you are a Java and Flex developer and already use IDEA, you don’t have to get another IDE to get your job done. JetBrains published a document explaining the basics of how Flex development will happen within IntelliJIDEA 8. Read – Creating Flex Applications with IntelliJ IDEA.

I am huge Intellij fan, but I have to disagree with going away from Flex Builder at this point. Flex Builder also supports a very interactive Design mode which allows a lot of drag and drop for ease screen development. But if I use Idea, I have to do a lot of coding myself. I wish Idea supported Flex Design mode.
